How to make a document name dynamic

This functionality allows the users to include data model and system variables as part of the document name. Therefore, when the document is generated, the name will dynamically change based on the data stored within the attributes.

How can this be applied?

The dynamic document name functionality can be accessed through either the Diagrams module or the Interface builder module.

From Diagrams:

To add a dynamic document name you just have to:

  • Add a ‘Generate Document’ activity to your existing process.

  • Click on the ‘Generate Document’ activity and choose the ‘Select Documents’ option

  • Select your document template, data model field and click on the ‘Data model’ button to add any system of data model variables as part of the document name.

From Interface Builder:

Having a dynamic document name can be done by following the next steps:

  • Add a ‘Generate document’ button as part of the existing interface.

  • Go to the ‘Properties’ on the right hand side of the screen.

  • Choose a document template from the ‘Template’ section and click on the ‘Data model’ button to add system and data model variables as part of the document name.

When generated, the document name will change its name dynamically, based on the data stored within the variables.
