How to configure Elements and Containers

The https://aurachain.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/resumedraft.action?draftId=180388257 provides powerful configuration options that can be applied to individual elements and containers, including: Attributes, Data, Properties, Format, Events, Sizing, and Styles.

The configuration options differ depending on the type of element.

Attributes

Allows setting the following basic attributes:

  • Label: the name that appears next to the element

  • Code: a unique identifier of the element.

  • Share space: if enabled, the element will share horizontal space with the following element.

  • Read-only: if enabled, the element cannot be changed by the user

  • Mandatory: if enabled, the task that corresponds to the Interface cannot be Submitted as long as the field is empty.

  • Container: the parent container of the element

Data

Allows mapping the contents of the element to an attribute in the Application’s Data Model:

  • Get data: retrieve values from the Data Model to be displayed within the element.

  • Set data: save the contents of the element as the value of an attribute in the Data Model.

Properties

  • Helper: Shows optional helper text next to the element

  • Display on user click: Shows a “ “ icon that shows/hides the helper text when pressed

  • Start hidden: The helper text is hidden when the page is loaded.

  • Icon: Shows a custom icon next to the element

  • Icon color: Changes the color of the icon shown next to the element

Format

Allows defining custom number formatting, such as the separators used to display large or fractional numbers. Only applies to fields that can contain strings.

Events

Allow defining custom behaviour using JavaScript that can be triggered on a variety of events:

  • on Task initiation (onInit)

  • when taking a decision (onChange, onSave, onSubmit, onClick)

  • or when the system fills in certain data on behalf of the user

You can add custom script to each available events using a Script editor. The Script editor has the following options available:

  • show all shortcuts (Press F1 key)

  • full screen view

  • dark/light mode - the light mode is applied by default

  • open Layout elements

  • find and insert existing elements

  • show total number of errors and navigate through them

See https://aurachain.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HowTo/pages/23560361 for more details and tutorials on using this advanced functionality.

Sizing

Allows specifying custom sizing of the container or element on different devices (PC, tablet, smartphone).

Styles

Define custom padding and borders for each element or container.
