Applications

This is where business processes are born, created and managed. Building a business process (Application) with no code and advanced features makes process automation within an organization/company feel like a breeze.

The pool of applications refers to all business processes that can be digitized in order to increase to maximum productivity and efficiency of an organization/company.

Create Applications

The landing page of the Apps section offers the user the possibility to easily create new apps or just use the ones already designed.

The “Your Applications” section displays to the user all the applications he has permission to work on. The user is able to interact with this interface by scrolling, searching (using either the search icon or directly the keyboard) creating new apps or using the ones already created.

Each app comes with a variety of actions – of course, based on the user’s permissions on the respective app he will see the actions or these will remain hidden from the user’s view:

  • Start - this action is very important. Users the permission to initiate a process will have access to this action

  • Edit – depending again on the permissions granted, the user will have the possibility to edit at least one module within the process

  • Tasks – with this action the user will have access to an already sorted Task List by the name of the application

  • Reports – here users with this kind of permission will have access to the process reports

The user will also have the options either to Archive an app or to Export it from the ‘more’ three-dotted menu button located at the top right corner of an app.

Create New - This action gives the user the possibility to create new applications.  Once the button clicked, the system will send the user to another screen where he will have to fill in all the data required for the new app.

Application Settings

This section has two main parts:

  • Highlights – general information about the app (e.g. Name, Type, Description etc.)

  • Export Application – This functionality helps the user to export an app, let's say from a testing environment to production one, in .bfz file on the local drive of the user. The application can then be imported on the desired Aurachain environment, when performing the “Create New” action.

Application specific groups

From here the app creator, called process owner, has the possibility to add specific groups of users that will interact with the application.

Permissions

Under the "Application Settings" option you will find Users and Permissions section.

The Permissions sets is a feature that allows you to set up the user rights to view an application, to edit it, and to have access in a more granular way to the Diagrams section of a process instance details.

The Permissions section will display all the permissions available in the  Aurachain Platform.

After all the set-ups are done in the Application Settings, the user can proceed to navigate through the application sidebar menu. Of course, the user is free at any moment to start the navigation regardless of the groups & permissions set-ups.
